About the event

Join us for a day of exploration, activities, and peer sharing on engaging students in schoolyard habitats through both the arts and ecological stewardship! School gardens offer hands-on learning opportunities where conceptual knowledge can be brought to life and made more accessible, tangible, exciting, and inspiring. As part of SGN's Schoolyard Habitat Program, this training will support educators in engaging students in their habitat gardens to foster curiosity, exploration, play, creativity, and ecological literacy and stewardship. Come to connect, share, learn, and grow together!

All participants will also receive a copy of the Teaching in Nature’s Classroom booklet, free access to five weeks of lessons from the award winning Symbiotic Schoolyard, and other curricular resources and ideas shared throughout the day.
