About the event

In this training educators will learn the fundamentals of native pollinator-friendly plants, water-wise gardening, and how to engage students in school garden-based ecosystems to become pollinator, climate, and ecosystem stewards! As part of SGN's Schoolyard Habitat Program, this training will involve presentations, practical demonstrations, participatory group activities, and an opportunity for schools and teachers to connect with community partners and curriculum specialists. Special guest presenters from the California Native Plant Society.

Participants will also receive pollinator-friendly native plants (including milkweed!) and habitat-inspired curriculum to use in their schools.
