Workshop presented by School Garden Network and US Fish and Wildlife

  workshop designed for teachers to create wildlife habitats on school grounds while encouraging long-­‐term stewardship.  Explore strategies to integrate ecologically sound habitat projects into primary and secondary classes across disciplines.

  • Introduction to the basics of habitat design with native species
  • Special guests from Project WILD and Point Blue( formerly Point Reyes Bird Observatory)
  • Learn how your school can qualify for up to $8,000 in funding for a habitat project at your site
  • Explore ways to integrate a habitat project to the curriculum

Details:

This workshop is a pre-requisite for applying for US Fish and Wildlife funding

Please register by September 20th

$35 fee  includes snacks, lunch and take home curriculum and resources
