Post Wildfire Direct Actions- FREE Workshop Nov 18th

Community Soil Foundation is offering a free workshop on Post Fire Remediation at 10:30 on November 18th as part of their regular works day at the community garden at Maddux Ranch.

It’s critical that residents have information and opportunities to contain toxic waste from entering our drinking water, rivers and ocean.

Volunteer Work Day on November 18 from 10:00am – 2:00pm. The Larkfield community garden continues to be a space of healing and renewal for Mark West and Riebli students plus families, teachers and community members are invited to come by and enjoy the fresh air. These work days are a huge help for essential garden tasks plus build community resiliency. Staff will be leading seasonal stations in preparing beds for winter, seeding cover crops and creating structures. Stay as long as you like and get your hands dirty! All are welcome, and there will be fun activities for kids. Join us rain or shine and bring comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. We will provide work gloves, drinking water and a freshly harvested snack. The garden is located adjacent to Maddux Ranch park at 450 Noonan Ranch Lane (parking on street).
